Brianna has always embraced counterculture and the duality of perception, threads that run throughout her work as an artist. At the center of her practice is a devotion to living well and with intention, a philosophy she brings to fragrance, to flavor, and to the way a room, a ritual, or a single material can shape how a moment is felt. She is obsessed with the architecture of a well-built accord, the quiet alchemy of salt, fat, acid, and heat meeting at the right moment, and the secret kinship between the two, the way a spice, a resin, or a ripe fruit can live just as vividly on the tongue as in the air. As the perfumer and creative director of Palais Obscura, she channels this ethos into scent as a primary language.
A natural storyteller, she uses precious materials from around the world as the characters in her vivid compositions, unafraid to ignite the boundaries before her. Her refined background spans film and television, music, travel, fashion PR, and the culinary world, and she draws from these landscapes to build experiences that treat the senses as worthy of real care and deliberate attention.
As an emerging artist, her work explores olfaction as a vehicle for revolution, meditation, healing, and resistance, all in service of challenging inherited systems through radical acts of reimagining.
